Description
The present work aims to highlight the important role of psychological variables like self-esteem, self-efficacy and achievement motivation for college success. Researchers have found that there exists a strong positive correlation between students’ self-esteem and their self-efficacy. It means the students who have higher self-esteem, also feel confident about their abilities. All those students who regard themselves to be worthy, also are very confident about themselves in particular tasks. As far as achievement motivation is concerned, researches show that there is a weak, yet positive correlation between self-esteem and achievement motivation, and positive relation between self-efficacy and achievement motivation. Moreover, it it has also been observed that all those students who have high self-efficacy, also had high achievement motivation.
