Chandan Ghosh was born on 20th October 1959 in Baharampur. Ancestral home in Gaurdanga village of Burdwan district. Spent in Baharampur from childhood to college. Then came to Kolkata for higher education. Moved to Mumbai at the end of 1982 due to employment. Joined Indian Institute of Banking and Finance. Worked here in different branches, head office and eastern regional office and in different positions. He resigned from the post of joint director in 2014. Currently working as Director in BehaviorGuide Education & Technology LLP. His interest in drawing, playing football, cricket, reciting, acting - from his childhood is noticeable. While in Mumbai, formed Darpan theater group with local Bengalis. He also wrote dance plays for children and comedy plays for Darpan. He has also received several awards for acting and directing in dramas from various theater competitions in Mumbai. He started writing since he was in school. Now, whenever he has time, he paints, crafts, writes poems, plays and stories.
