Fr. Henry Sebastian Bowden

Father Henry Sebastian Bowden (1836-1919) was an English Catholic priest of the Oratory of Saint Philip Neri in Brompton, London. He was famous as the cleric who received poet Oscar Wilde into the Catholic Church. A prolific spiritual writer, his works include Miniature Lives of the Saints for Every Day in the Year, Mementoes of the English Martyrs and this work, Miniature Life of Mary, Virgin and Mother.
