Dr. Mitrajit Chatterjee, M.Sc. (Gold Medallist), PhD is at present Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography, Kabi Sukanta Mahavidyalaya (affiliated to The University of Burdwan), Bhadreswar, Hooghly, West Bengal, India. He is actively engaged in teaching Geography in undergraduate and postgraduate levels for the last 10 years. He has published 27 research papers in national and international journals and edited volumes and is the author/editor of 3 books (one international and two national). The main areas of his research interest are land use planning, physico-social and environmental issues in Geography.
