Around 40% of Autistic individuals are non-speaking. The world only began to understand that Non-Speaking doesn’t equal Non-Thinking when some of them started communicating using alternate modes. Sadly, even this gets lost in the cacophony of the speaking population. The seed of this book sprouted in the minds of two mothers of non-speaking Autistic individuals. This is an effort straight from their hearts to bring to the forefront and to create a space for the community of non-speaking autistics here in India. The contributors are all strong advocates for their community and cover a diverse age group.
