Adip Roy is one of the veterans of the Indian IT Industry with his career starting in the 70's with IBM when they were operating in India (pre-globalization). Through his career spanning nearly 5 decades, he has worked, consulted or coached for a large majority of India's IT giants including IBM, Fujitsu ICIM, SAP, Infosys, Glaxo Smith Kline, Sony Corp, CMC Limited, VERITAS, Symantec, PCS Technology, etc. He has spent time in large and small firms alike. He has lived the ups and downs of the industry as a whole, as well as the particular firms he has been part of. He has witnessed the transition of the industry from being uniquely hardware centric to the standardization of systems, with software taking centre-stage, to web based cloud systems that are now the driving forces of our technology centric world. And in all this he has seen how at the core of it all are the people - the visionaries and the leaders, the managers and the task masters, the tyrants and the techies that have shaped the businesses.
