Dr. Ashok M. Biradar is born in a remote place of Karnataka at Bhalki. His Parents were the farmers and completely uneducated. He did his master’s degree from Marathwada University, Maharastra in Physics and did his doctorate degree (Ph.D.) from S.P. University, Gujrat in Physics. He joined as a scientist at National Physical Laboratory (NPL), New Delhi. His research activites were in soft matter Physics. He went to Germany for three years for doing post- doctoral research and visited many European countries like France, England, Netherlands etc. He published around 200 research papers in International journals and have 6 Indian and foreign patents to his credit. He guided 25 research students for their Ph.D. degree at National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi. Presently he is working at the same Laboratory (NPL) as an emeritus scientist.
