Dr. Deep Kumar Thakur, the author of 'Pravana Kavya', hails from village Gumma, Tehsil Joginder Nagar, District Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. ‘Pravaran Kavya’ is the first collection of poems composed by him. His early education started from his birthplace village Gumma. After which he did his graduation as B.V.Sc & AH from College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Palampur, District Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. & A.H. He achieved his master's degree in Public Health (Epidemiology) from PGI Chandigarh. Apart from this, he has earned education from various higher education institutions of the country in subjects like 'Health Economics, 'One Health' and 'Agriculture Extension Management'. Having an optimistic and researching nature, Dr. Deep sees himself as a writer and thinker.
