Dr. Pardeep Singh is an accomplished academician and journalist specializing in Journalism and Mass Communication. Currently serving as Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism and Media Studies,University of Jammu. He holds a Ph.D. and M.Phil. from Punjabi University Patiala, along with a Master’s degree in Mass Communication and Journalism from the University of Kashmir. With over a decade of professional journalism experience, Dr. Pardeep Singh has worked as a reporter, sub-editor, bureau chief, and senior correspondent for prominent outlets including Greater Kashmir, Early Times, Rising Kashmir and JK Newspoint. His reporting has focused on politics, defense, education, health, and conflict journalism, particularly in Jammu and Kashmir. An active researcher, Dr. Pardeep Singh has published numerous SCOPUS, peer-reviewed and UGC-listed papers on topics such as media coverage of conflicts, censorship post-Article 370 abrogation, media trials, ecofeminism, and algorithmic media. He has presented research papers at national and international conferences and served as a resource person and keynote speaker in various workshops and seminars.
