Dr Pradeep K Sharma, an internationally recognized agricultural scientist with Ph.D. in Agricultural Physics, was born on 11 January 1955 in a small village Jasur in Himcahal Pradesh. Dr Sharma, besides a successful Soil Scientist, is also a mature writer. Inspired by nature and day-to-day life, his poems and short stories in Hindi are often published in magazines and newspapers. Dr Sharma has published seven books in Hindi, viz. 5 books on poetry (Parindon Ke Paron Par, Chhoo Lo Aasmaan, Kahan Dhoondhoon Apana Ghar, Geet Gaata Hoon Main and Boond Boond Sargam), 2 books on short-stories collection (Apheem Ke Phool and Golgappay), and 1 book of gazals (Tanha Raatain). Dr Sharma, retired as Vice Chancellor, is now leading a retired life at Palampur (HP), continuing his interest in Hindi literature.
