Dr. Sapna Sharma is presently working as an Assistant Professor at Shri Ram Swaroop Memorial University, Lucknow, UP, India. She has completed PhD from CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology Research, Lucknow, India. Dr. Sharma obtained PhD. In Biochemistry with a focus in role of probiotics in hepatotoxicity from the CSIR Indian Institute of Toxicology Research, Lucknow and M.Phil and M.Sc in Microbiology (Gold medalist). More than 25 publications in international journals in field of Gut associated metabolic disease, more focused on intestinal permeability. Dr. Sharma was the recipient of best research paper at several international meetings. Received several national and international grants during post doctorate tenure.
