Dr. Sini V. Pillai

Dr Sini V. Pillai is an Assistant Professor at the Kerala University of Digital Sciences, Innovation and Technology (Digital University Kerala), where she is actively engaged in teaching, research, and academic leadership at the intersection of digital technologies, public systems, and management education. With a strong interdisciplinary orientation, her work focuses on applying emerging technologies, including Digital Twins, Artificial Intelligence, data analytics, AR/VR, and intelligent systems, to address complex challenges in governance, infrastructure, agriculture, and sustainability. Dr. Pillai has extensive experience in curriculum design, capacity building, and executing technology-enabled training and design thinking workshops for students, faculty, and professionals. Her academic interests span digital governance, smart cities, resilient public systems, technology-driven skill development, and data-driven decision-making in public administration and management. Through her teaching, research, publications, and collaborative projects, Dr. Sini V. Pillai continues to contribute to the advancement of digitally empowered governance and resilient socio-technical systems, with a particular focus on real-world impact in the Kerala and Indian context. Dr Pillai is also the author of Microsoft Power BI – All You Want to Know, a comprehensive guide that bridges theory and practice in data visualisation, business intelligence, and analytics for students, educators, and professionals. As the Editor of this book, Governing the Future with Digital Twins: Intelligent Systems for a Resilient Kerala 5.0 – Real-World Scenarios from Kerala’s Public Systems, she brings together practical, scenario-based insights on leveraging Digital Twin technologies for sustainable, resilient development in Kerala.
