Omar Luther King

OMAR LUTHER KING is the youngest son of Maulana M. Tayyebulla, an Indian freedom fighter, a former Minister of undivided Assam and a former Member of Parliament, and of Begum Afroza Tayyebulla of Puranigudam, Nowgong, Assam. After graduating from Cotton College of Gauhati University, he worked in Gandhi Peace Foundation, New Delhi, in YMCA, Gauhati, and intermittently in Lok Sabha Secretariat and Rajya Sabha Secretariat, Parliament of India. He is now serving Jesus fulltime as a missionary. He preaches Christ to the Muslims of the world, and to all the seekers of truth. His writings have appeared in several Indian national newspapers and foreign dailies and periodicals and in Christian magazines. He has authored and co-authored several books and research papers, including “Indian Boy in Love – Essence of Religion” and “My God My India My Family and Myself”. Omar is a member of Apostles Methodist Church, New Delhi, a life member of the Evangelical Fellowship of India and of Delhi Assam Association, a former National Level Faculty of the Haggai Institute, India and an alumnus of Army Public School, New Delhi, Cotton College, Gauhati, and of Torchbearers Bible School, Germany. Omar is now residing in Delhi with his wife from Shillong, Meghalaya. He was baptized in Gauhati Baptist Church, Panbazar, Assam while his wife Roma King (formerly known as Begum Shamim Ahmed) and their two sons Amit and Aman were baptized in Apostles Methodist Church, New Delhi and their elder daughter-in-law Nandita King (nee Das) and their two grand-daughters Jennifer and Angel were baptized in Millennium Methodist Church, Delhi. Omar also worships online together with the members of Redeemer Baptist Church, Australia from where he gathers spiritual food to stay fit at 80 to serve Jesus faithfully, by God’s grace.
