Dr. Basavarajaiah S. M. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Dayananda Sagar Academy of Technology and Management (DSATM), Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. He obtained his M.Sc. degree in 2004 and Ph.D. in 2009 from Gulbarga University, Kalaburagi, followed by postdoctoral research at IIT Kanpur. His research interests include organic synthesis, heterocyclic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, nanomaterials, molecular docking, and green chemistry. With over sixteen years of experience in teaching and research, Dr. Basavarajaiah has made significant contributions to chemical sciences through extensive publications in reputed national and international journals. He has authored several books and book chapters, holds multiple patents, and has successfully completed six externally funded research projects supported by agencies such as UGC, VGST, and KSCST. He also serves as a reviewer and editorial board member for several internationally recognized journals published by Elsevier, Springer Nature, Wiley, ACS, MDPI, and the Royal Society of Chemistry.Dr. Basavarajaiah has H established an active research group focusing on the design and synthesis of biologically active H heterocyclic compounds, computational drug discovery, functional nanomaterials, and environmentally sustainable technologies. His research collaborations extend across national and international institutions, resulting in numerous high-impact scientific publications and interdisciplinary projects. In recognition of his research excellence, Dr. Basavarajaiah has been featured in the Stanford-Elsevier World's Top 2% Scientists list for consecutive years. He continues to mentor undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students while actively contributing to research, academic administration, and scientific publishing.
