Dr. Rayees Ibrahim Lone is a lecturer of Sociology at the government degree college Kulgam. His major area of interest is environmental Sociology and Social Psychology. The author is well known text writer in the field of Sociology in Kashmir valley. He is born in a village Magray Pora, in Achabal area of district Anantnag. By qualification, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Government Degree College for Boys Anantnag. Having desirous interest in analysing Kashmiri society, opted M.A & M.Phil from Barkatullah Vishwavidalaya, and completed Ph.D from the department of Sociology, Annamalai University under the inspirational guiding of Professor S.Subramani. The author has also qualified NET & SET exams and holds B.Ed. & M.Ed. from Kashmir University. Besides his qualification, he is the author of nineteen articles published in many reputed journals and attended several national and international conferences.
