Dr. Sowmya ASL is the founder and trainer of Spurthi Pre-Primary Educational Academy (SPPEA). Her academic background includes a Post-Doctoral (PDF), Doctoral (PhD), and Master’s (MSc) degree in Child Development. She has 16 years of experience in teaching, research, and the industry in the field of Early Childhood Education. She is a teacher trainer, child development specialist, and parent counsellor. She has authored a book, a teacher's manual, and chapters in books, and has published about 16 research articles in international and national journals. She has presented papers at international conferences and national seminars. She holds a copyright for “A Tool to Assess Preschool Teachers’ Knowledge on Science”. Her contributions also include serving as a reviewer for the esteemed Springer Nature journal in the field of early childhood education. She has trained over 1,000 pre-primary and primary teachers and has conducted training programs and workshops across India. Her areas of expertise include curriculum planning, teacher workshops, storytelling, and parent education programs.
