Jot Prakash Kaur

Jot is a writer with deep roots in two vibrant regions of India—Bengal and Punjab. She holds a Diploma in International Studies from the University of Sydney and a Master’s degree in Finance Control from Panjab University.

A passionate reader since childhood, Jot always dreamed of writing books of her own. Her father lovingly encouraged this dream, inspiring her to read widely, think creatively, and share her stories. During the COVID-19 lockdown, father and daughter spent many hours exchanging story ideas, which rekindled her passion for writing and led her to begin creating stories for young readers.

The Generous Giant marked her debut in children's literature. Her second book, Friendship Tales: Bananas, Biscuits & Best Friends, is inspired by a true family memory of a baby monkey brought home by her father. Blending fact with fiction, Jot’s stories celebrate kindness, friendship, and the special bonds that can grow between the most unexpected companions.
