Biography

Leha Devi Reddy
Leha Reddy and Gourikha Lasyya Yadav are two writers brought together by a shared curiosity about the world and the quiet questions people often carry but rarely speak about. This book did not begin as a carefully planned project. It began with conversations. Long discussions about expectations, identity, and the strange feeling many people experience when they realize that much of what they believe was shaped by society long before they had the chance to question it. Instead of trying to present themselves as experts, the authors approached this book as observers and thinkers. They were interested in exploring everyday ideas that most people grow up accepting without much reflection. Ideas about success, obedience, fear, sacrifice, and the courage it takes to think independently. Writing Unlearning What Society Taught Us became a way to turn those conversations into something meaningful for others. The goal of this book is not to provide perfect answers. Instead, it invites readers to slow down, reflect, and question the beliefs that quietly shape their lives. Leha and Lasyya believe that personal growth often begins with simple curiosity. When people start asking honest questions about the expectations around them, they open the door to understanding themselves more clearly. This book is part of that ongoing conversation.
