Child homes are essential to take care of orphans, poor, deprived and destitute children in the society, to give them proper care and protection and to provide social, family, emotional and mental support to such destitute, social, economic, weak and deprived sections of the society. In fact, under the Juvenile Justice Act-2000, Child homes have been set up for the neglected, destitute, and orphaned children of the society who need care and protection.
