Payel Paul serves as Senior Research Scholar at Taxonomy of Angiosperms and Biosystematics Laboratory, Department of Botany, University of North Bengal. She works in the field of plant systematics, palynology and molecular systemetics. She bears good research publication in National and International journals. She holds University of North Bengal first class second position in Masters of Science in Botany for the year 2014 (Silver Medalist). She was a recipient of Post-Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship for the period of 2012-2014 and UGC- BSR Fellowship as JRF and SRF for the period of 2015-2020.
