Description
This book is designed as an introductory course on basic concepts of programming in SCILAB, aimed at under graduate, post graduate students and research scholars in science and engineering. Scilab is a free and open-source, cross-platform numerical computational package and a high-level, numerically oriented programming language. It can be used for signal processing, statistical analysis, image enhancement, fluid dynamics simulations, numerical optimization, and modeling, simulation of explicit and implicit dynamical systems and symbolic manipulations. Scilab is currently being used in educational and industrial environments around the world. In an effort to inform about fundamental concepts of programming in Scilab, this book can impart a good knowledge to the readers. This book provides a fundamental understanding about Scilab, arrays, matrices, functions, loops, conditions, plotting of 2-D, 3-D diagrams, data visualization, numerical analysis, statistical analysis, mathematical modeling, simulation, image processing and programming concepts to solve different scientific and engineering problems.
